Announcements for Thurday, October 2, 2014 - B Day

Attention AMS students!  Builders Club is collecting donations for the United Way starting Wednesday Oct. 1st - Oct. 8th in Prime Time.  You can donate any amount and give it to your Prime Time Teacher.
As an incentive to donate, the Prime Time from each grade level with the highest donation will receive treats.  See Mrs. Fulton if you have any questions.
Thank you for donating and helping people in our community!

BUILDERS CLUB:  Meeting today in room 314 afterschool.  See Mrs. Fulton if you cannot attend.

Student Council: If you did not attend the meeting this morning you MUST attend the meeting after school at 3:05, in Mrs. Siepker’s room (#112). Any questions see either Mrs. Ellison or Mrs. Siepker.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3th will be a PINK OUT day at Andersen.  This is in support of breast cancer awareness month and the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure that weekend.  All students and staff please try to wear something pink such as T shirt or socks.  The school dress code comes first.  NO hats, colored hair, painted faces or painted skin.

Bully Prevention Day:  Students and staff please wear a BLUE SHIRT on MONDAY, OCT 6th to take a stand against bullies.

Photography Club:  Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 7 in room 105 from 3:05 – 3:35.  There will be a short lesson and then we will practice taking pictures.  Bring your camera.

MULAN,JR. group: We are off to a great start. Chrous  members,I have sheets with lyrics and websites that I printed out and put in a folder outside the Choir room. Please come and get one so that you can sing these songs at home. Leads, please bring your CDs or phones or i-pads to record your music. All CONTRACTS ARE DUE TODAY.

Ambassador Applications: 7th grade students may pick up their Ambassador application forms from Mrs. Martin during study hall or before/after school. Don’t wait until the last minute! Applications are due on/before October 22.

Attention Boys Basketball Players:  7th and 8th grade boys interested in playing basketball for Andersen Middle School, there will be an informational meeting about tryouts on Tuesday, September 30th and Wednesday, October 1.  The meetings will be held in Mr. Eastridge’s room (#302) at 7:15 in the morning before school and 3:10 after school.  Anyone interested in trying out for the boys basketball team needs to attend ONE of the previously mentioned meetings.

Workshop includes:
 Hands on production experience with acting, improvisation, makeup, costumes, props, lighting, and set.

Social Media in Sarpy County
Sarpy County Diversion is sponsoring a FREE educational class to parents and youths of the metropolitan area.  Sarpy County’s goal is to inform the residents of Sarpy County and the surrounding areas of the growing use, dangers, and parental concerns of social media websites and popular “apps”.  This class will be offered quarterly.
